“The Literary Lovers Dream”
The Times Literary Festival reached its 64th year this Autumn and Production AV was pleased to provide the AV for the 4th year in succession.
Discussion and debate were enabled by our range of projection and backdrop screens which were supplied to the three main venues at the tented village, The Salon, The Forum & The Exchange.
This 10 day event always showcases some of the biggest names in contemporary culture, and this year was no exception, with such diverse names as Helen Fielding, Robert Winston, Phillipa Gregory and John Bishop.
Multi Venue AV Solution
Production AV was tasked with supplying 3 venues as well as other displays around the site in areas such as the Box Office. The Salon offers a smaller more intimate feel, with an “in the round” style setting. Along with a centre screen we supplied plasmas flown on wing trusses to enable a good view of the content from every seat.
The Forum is the Festival’s Flagship venue which despite its 1000 person capacity still feels warm and intimate. Here we supplied a Full HD system with remote controlled cameras going via an HD vision mixer to a Barco ScreenPRO II system to bring in Power Point and Keynote content. This then fed a Full HD projector via a fibre system.
Cheltenham Festivals’ Postive Feedback
“Production AV provided a report order for the Montpellier site of the Cheltenham Literature festival. As normal the installation and quality of the equipment was very high.
The quality and brightness from the new projectors was amazing, along with remotely controlled cameras leading to a very slick production.
We look forward to developing the equipment and specification that we use within the festival structure in the future with Production AV.” Adrian Hensley, Cheltenham Festivals Technical Manager.
